When the Waiting Feels Heavy

When the Waiting Feels Heavy

Scripture: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…” — Isaiah 40:31

Waiting on God can feel like standing still while the world keeps moving.

There are seasons when we’re holding on to a prayer, watching others move forward, and wondering if we’ve somehow been left behind. We try to stay faithful, but in the quiet moments, we feel weary. Discouraged. Forgotten.

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that waiting on the Lord is not passive; it’s sacred. It’s where strength is renewed, not lost.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up with wings as eagles;
They shall run and not be weary,
and they shall walk, and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31, KJV

This verse doesn’t promise instant answers, but it offers something even more beautiful: renewed strength for the journey.

Maybe you’re in a season of waiting... for healing, for clarity, for restoration, or simply peace. If so, take heart. God is still working in the unseen. You are not forgotten. Your waiting is not wasted.

Let this be your reminder: the stillness of today might be preparing you to soar tomorrow.

💡 Gentle Reflection:

  • What are you waiting for God to do right now?

  • How might you renew your strength today while you wait?
